Let me introduce myself. I’m Michael Brown. I’ve been photographing since 2014, starting with a Nikon crop-sensor camera that my mom lent me. A few years later I upgraded to a Canon T5, and today I shoot on the Canon RP. Over the years I’ve learned something important: being a good photographer is only one piece of running a successful photography business. The gear, the tools, the client experience, the website, the advertising strategy all of that matters just as much.
As my skills grew, I realized I loved the business side just as much as the creative side. I found myself building systems, refining contracts, creating workflow tools, setting up CRMs, designing websites, and developing client booking processes. Eventually I put my own photography on the back burner so I could focus on building something bigger a business structure that allows talented photographers to do what they do best while I handle the operations, marketing, and backend that makes it profitable and sustainable.
These are future expansions planned as the business grows, designed to provide even more value and support to our photographers
I originally considered a flat monthly fee, but quickly realized that model doesn’t scale sustainably as business expenses grow. Instead, I’ve built a revenue-sharing structure that rewards skill, experience, and long-term, consistent working relationship.
For most photographers, the first two years include a 60/40 split (60% to you, 40% to the business) to cover marketing, software, studio operations, advertising, and backend management. After two years of consistent partnership,
your commission increases to 80%, a level that is almost unheard of not only in photography, but in the broader sales industry.
However, photographers with significant real-world experience, an established portfolio, and proven client consistency may qualify to start at the 80% commission tier immediately. This ensures that highly skilled photographers are compensated at the level their expertise deserves while still gaining the benefits of a fully managed, business-supported system.

At this point, you may still be wondering, “Why should I trust this?” That’s a fair question. This is not a casual handshake agreement. If you choose to move forward with Photography Remembered, we will enter into a formal written contract that clearly outlines responsibilities, compensation, and protection for both parties.
Photography Remembered is built on a professional foundation: a custom-designed website (not a template from Wix or Weebly), dedicated booking software, integrated digital contract-signing tools, and relationship with a professional print lab that has been in business since 1990s. All backend operations from marketing to scheduling are handled for you, so you can focus exclusively on photographing and delivering an exceptional client experience.
And if, after reading this, you’re thinking, “I could build all of this myself,” then that’s great you’re likely not the photographer I’m looking for. This opportunity is designed for talented photographers who want to focus on shooting, not managing the endless business and administrative tasks that often pull creatives away from their craft.
