Travel & Mileage Policy

Effective 2025 - applies to all bookings with Photography Remembered

Included Travel: The first 50 road miles (round-trip) from the Photographer’s business location are included at no additional charge.
Mileage Fee: Beyond 50 miles, travel is billed at $0.70 per mile round-trip.
Travel Time Surcharge: If travel time exceeds 1 hour each way, a surcharge of $15 per travel hour will apply. This covers time lost from shooting and editing.
Extended Travel (150+ miles): For destinations located more than 150 miles from the Photographer’s location, reasonable costs of lodging, airfare, or other transportation will be quoted at cost to the Client and added to the final invoice.

Examples

1. local Session

Session location: 25 miles away (50 miles round-trip)
Travel time: 30 each way
Total travel charge: $0 (within included mileage and under 1 hour each way)

2. Nearby Wedding

• Event location: 80 miles away (160 miles round-trip) 
• Travel time: 1.25 hours each way
• Mileage fee: 110 miles × $0.70 = $77.00
• Travel time surcharge: 0.25 hrs × $15 = $3.75 (per direction = 0.5 hrs × $15 = $7.50)
• Total travel charge: $84.50

3. Destination Event

Event location: 200 miles away (400 miles round-trip)
Travel time: 3 hours each way
Mileage fee: 350 miles × $0.70 = $245.00
Travel time surcharge: 2 hrs × $15 = $30.00 (per direction = 4 hrs × $15 = $60.00)
Lodging: One night hotel stay at cost, e.g., $125.00
Total travel charge: $490.00
